The Cabaret Glasnost Show was developed while I was studying theatre directing in GITIS (Russian Academy of Theatre Art).

Produced by my college theatre professor, Joakim Sharoev, the show combined our sketches written specifically for the show and more academic materials of the early 1900's. In a way, it was a creative variety review of comedy materials written by several generations of Russian comedians.

The stage version translated in English had a successful tour in the United States in 1989.
