were inducted into various hockey Halls of Fame.
:: RUSSIAN HOCKEY HALL
of FAME This is a listing of all players that
received the Merited Sports Master
(Zasluzhenny Master Sporta or ZMS) which is the
top award given to outstanding sports personalities
in Russia. By analogy with the biggest honor in
professional hockey in Canada, it is often called
the "Russian Hall of Fame".
:: HOCKEY HALL OF FAME
(Toronto, Canada) Founded in 1943 to establish a memorial
to those who have developed Canada's great winter
sport - ice hockey, the Hockey Hall of Fame
needs no additional comments. The HHOF in Toronto,
Canada exists in order to honour and preserve the
history of the game of ice hockey, and in particular,
those who have made outstanding contributions and
achievements in the development of the game.
:: IIHF HOCKEY HALL OF
FAME Founded in 1908, the International
Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) is a federation
of national hockey associations governing the sport
of ice hockey. The oldest and most established international
hockey organizations has one of the "youngest"
Hockey Halls of Fame. 89 years after its foundation,
the IIHF established its Hall of Fame to honour
deserving former officials, coaches and players.
